We are currently experiencing issues with Summon linking out to some content. When clicking the Full Text link from the results list, you may see a Serials Solutions User Authentication screen which states:
“We’re sorry, but we don’t recognize you as a current client of Serials Solutions. This may be due to the fact that your trial has ended or the URL was entered incorrectly. If you continue to get this error message, please contact a librarian at your institution for assistance.”
We have made some changes which should rectify this problem but are currently waiting for the build to update in order for these to take effect. Hopefully this will be resolved today, or tomorrow at the latest.
In the meantime, you can still get to the content you have found via a Summon search – it will just take a few more steps. From the Summon results list, you will be able to see all the details about the item: whether it is an eBook or journal article, where it is available from (e.g. Science Direct, Dawsonera etc.), the publisher, year of publication etc. Once you’ve got the details you need, you can either go to our A-Z Online Resources or our Find a Journal search to get to the full-text item.
A-Z Online resources contains authenticated links to our databases and eBook and e-journal collections – this means that you will be prompted for your network username and password and automatically have access to all of our subscribed content. Once you’ve logged in to the resource, you can search for the item you need. Remember, if you just search via Google, you won’t have access to our content without selecting the correct institutional login option so it is always quicker and easier to use our A-Z links or your Subject Guide pages.
